About Snyder's of Hanover

Beginning with a family recipe that was formulated over a century ago, Snyder's of Hanover is the proud manufacturer of "America's favorite pretzel." Harry Warehime began in 1909 by producing Olde Tyme Pretzels. A decade later, in the 1920s, Edward Snyder II and his father were frying up potato chips and selling them door to door. In 1924, the two burgeoning business joined forces to become Snyder's Bakery. Throughout the 1940s, demand and distribution grew, and a second factory was built in Berlin, PA. In 1980, Snyder's of Hanover was spun off from the main company, focusing on snack foods while the main company focused on vegetables.
